Reversing earlier votes, City Councilmen Mark Schwing and Henry W. Wedaa joined two other council members Tuesday to approve the payment of bills outstanding.
Schwing and Wedaa changed their votes on the city’s Oct. 5 warrant list after receiving an explanation of entries related to the city’s investigation of former City Manager Arthur Simonian.
Schwing and Wedaa were concerned that the city was paying investigators for work done before a contract was approved. The council agreed to remove that portion of the bills from the list and to cut a check for $42,147 for the accounting and investigative services done during the three-week investigation.
