Change in Store For Jets?

Associated Press

The term Bill Parcells used to describe the New York Jets’ latest loss was “tremendous ineptitude.” The solution he has in mind: lineup changes, perhaps starting at quarterback.

Parcells wouldn’t go so far as saying Rick Mirer would be benched for Tom Tupa or Ray Lucas after Monday’s 16-6 loss to Jacksonville. But he didn’t endorse his current starter, hours after one of the worst offensive displays of his two-plus seasons as Jet coach.

“I’ve got a lot of problems here and I’m not trying to make light of it,” Parcells said. “I’m not going to say now, ‘This is what I am doing.’ Something is going to change--I am not going to put up with what is going on here.”
