The Police Department will host its annual Red Ribbon celebration Oct. 23 in memory of Enrique Camarena, a drug enforcement agency officer killed in 1988 by drug traffickers in Mexico. Fullerton officials hold the commemoration so the community may participate in the department’s anti-drug education programs and encourage residents wear red ribbons to support the national drug awareness program.
