GARDEN GROVE
The PlastiVan, the American Plastic Council’s science lesson on wheels, will be stopping today at Irvine Middle School. Students can learn such techniques as how to make the slime used in the “Ghostbusters” films, how recycled bottles become polar fleece jackets and how a skewer can go through a balloon without popping it. The event is designed to teach students about potential uses for recycled plastics.
