Stranger’s Help

Share

We want to thank the unknown woman who showed courage, kindness and compassion on Vermont Avenue near the Hollywood Freeway on Oct. 6. She left her car near the curb and braved the busy intersection to help a person in the middle of the street, who appeared to be confused.

The person had made it to the middle of the crosswalk when the light changed. Cars moved and some horns blared. After hesitating a bit, the young woman got out of her car and went to the rescue of this person. She took her hand and gently led her to safety. At this point we and others realized that the troubled woman was blind and all of us waited patiently!

We’re hoping that the one who acted so kindly will see this and know she made a difference in the lives of all who witnessed this beautiful sight. May God bless you, whoever you are!
