Cardinal O’Connor Returns to Hospital

Cardinal John O’Connor, who has been suffering side effects from radiation therapy, returned to Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. O’Connor, 79, had a brain tumor removed in September and has undergone follow-up radiation. “The doctors want to do some follow-up on the side effects of radiation,” said his spokesman, Joseph Zwilling. The surgery and radiation have left the cardinal fatigued and forced him to cut back on his schedule.
