European aerospace consortium Airbus Industrie won an order from America West Holdings Corp. for 27 planes worth an estimated $1.1 billion. It includes 15 of Airbus’ newest and smallest model, the 107-seat A-318, and 12 A-320-200 planes and options for an additional 50 aircraft, bringing the potential value of the order to $3.3 billion.
