The Villa Park Women’s League will hold the Athena Benefit Luncheon at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 29 at the Turnip Rose in Orange. The cost is $40, which helps provide scholarships for young women.
Councilwoman Patricia Bortle will be presented with the Athena Award for her participation in various Villa Park organizations, including the Salvation Army, Community Development Council, Family Violence Council and Orangewood Children’s Home.
