A health fair for migrant parents and students in the Santa Ana Unified School District is set for Saturday with the goal of reaching 1,500 people, organizers said.

Sponsored by the Consortium of Physicians from Latin America, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a two-hour cultural program, said Dr. Rolando Castillo, the consortium’s founder.

The event at Wally R. Davis Elementary School, 1405 French St., Santa Ana, will include free health screenings and immunizations as well as information about insurance and medical programs. Literature about careers in the medical field also will be distributed.
