FOUNTAIN VALLEY
On a 5-0 vote, the City Council adopted a resolution to implement the city’s designated permit parking system for Christmas displays.
Each December, the majority of residents living on Shadbush Street, Camrose, Dahlia and Dandelion circles decorate their homes and present a Christmas display that attracts many cars and pedestrians. The increased traffic is a concern to residents in the area, some of whom don’t like the congestion. City staff has developed a permit system so that traffic is prohibited between the hours of 6:30 and 9 p.m. between Dec. 10 and 23. All visitors would be required to walk the streets displaying holiday decorations.
