LA HABRA
The Police Department will be setting up a DUI checkpoint Friday starting at 8 p.m. in a major intersection in La Habra.
Though the exact location will not be disclosed, officers said Friday night’s checkpoint will be highly visible, with lane closures and plenty of warning signs.
“We’re beginning a series of checkpoints between now and the holidays when alcohol-related incidents rise,” said Sgt. Bob Wyse.
“[DUI checkpoints] are to provide the perception that if you drink and drive, you will be stopped,” Wyse said.
