The Braves may have finally found a flaw in Orlando Hernandez, even though it took an Atlanta newspaper to show it to them.
A front-page photo of Hernandez shutting down the Braves in Game 1 showed his right front foot resting several inches in front of the pitching rubber during his windup.
According to the rules, a pitcher’s foot must have contact with the rubber until he releases the ball.
The Braves say they will be checking this out against Hernandez in Game 5 if they can win tonight to extend the Series.
