Finance Executive Takes Irvine Co. Position

Veteran finance executive Marc Ley has joined the Irvine Co. as senior vice president, capital markets, and chief investment officer. Ley, who will oversee the company’s finance and treasury operations, had been vice president and director of real estate capital markets at Pacific Life Insurance Co.

* Patricia Beth Rice has been named chief executive officer of Sonic Jet Performance Inc., a Huntington Beach-based boat manufacturer. She will be completing a restructuring of management to oversee Sonic Jet’s expansion plans, the company said Wednesday. Rice most recently served as a financial consultant for Global Network. Before that, she was a manager in Wang Labs’ northwest region.

* Fred Zago has been named bank manager for Western Financial Bank’s retail banking office in Orange. He has more than 14 years of experience in the banking industry, holding positions in operations management, business banking and bank management.

* Judith A. Barbe has joined Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc. as director of administration and human resources for the Irvine headquarters and the San Diego and Valencia regional offices. She was previously associate resource consultant for Toshiba America Information Systems.

* Milton Ellis has joined the Laughlin-Wilt Group, an electronics contract manufacturer, as Orange County regional sales manager. He will be based in the company’s Lake Forest manufacturing facility. Ellis was most recently vice president of finance for BLT Electronics in Aliso Viejo. He has also been major accounts manager for AlliedSignal Aerospace in Torrance and vice president of sales and marketing for ATG Technology in New Jersey.
