An internal investigation of alleged academic fraud in Tennessee’s athletic department has turned up no violations, school officials said in Knoxville.

The university’s investigation stemmed from an ESPN.com story that alleged tutors did homework for athletes, and administrators failed to tell superiors about it.

Four football players were suspended but later reinstated after Tennessee’s preliminary investigation found no evidence of any wrongdoing.
