Pollution Coverage
I would like to applaud the Times for the recent coverage of the urban runoff problem that affects Southern California beaches.
The cause of 85% of ocean water pollution is urban runoff. One quart of motor oil that drips onto the street can pollute 250,000 gallons of seawater. Through education we can influence a generation of citizens who will make the right decisions for themselves.
