Dolphins Turning Into Huard Converts

Share

In two games with Damon Huard at quarterback, the Dolphins have converted 16 of 35 third downs. That’s 45.7%. With Dan Marino at the helm, the Dolphins were 13 of 51, only 25.5%.

The Bills have established a disturbing trend of falling behind early. In each of their last three games, they have found themselves in a 7-0 hole after the opponent’s first offensive series. All three times, the drives began in Bill territory--two via turnovers.

The success of the Indianapolis offense can be attributed to Peyton Manning’s ability to incorporate all of his options. His 123 completions have gone to nine receivers.

One reason for the poor play of the Jets? No one expected them to be a pass-rushing force, but the Jets have only eight sacks in seven games. The defensive line is responsible for only two sacks. Linebacker Bryan Cox, a terrific pass rusher, has been held sackless.
