VALLEY CENTER--Christmas on the Farm is an old-fashioned celebration of the holidays set for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 6 and 7. Music, a barbecue, kids’ crafts, arts and crafts and a quilt auction take place at Bates Nut Farm, 15954 Woods Valley Road. 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Free. (760) 749-3388.

BRAWLEY--Wild West highlights of the Brawley Cattle Call, Nov. 6-14, include a chili cook-off, 10 a.m. Saturday ($1); the Fiesta Cultura in Cattle Call Arena, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7; the Cattle Call parade on Main Street, 9:45 a.m. Nov. 13; an Elks barbecue, Nov. 14 (adults $8; children $6); and rodeos Nov. 13 and 14 ($5-$10). GRASS VALLEY-- During the Festival of Trees, Nov. 12-14, decorated trees will be on display at Holbrooke Hotel (a drawing for the trees will be held Sunday).
