FOCUS: ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY NEWS : ANAHEIM
An event on Monday at the Islands Golf Course in Anaheim raised approximately $5,000 for the Fire Department’s swift-water rescue team. The team specializes in storm drain and river rescues and responds to crises throughout Orange County. The event was sponsored by the Islands Golf Course and Orange County Water District to help buy new equipment for the team. About 500 people showed up to practice their swings on the driving range, watch a rescue demonstration and participate in raffles.
