Pioneer Middle School, the district’s first new middle school in more than 25 years, opened its classrooms today in Tustin Ranch to 330 registered students. Adele Heuer, formally an administrator at Columbus Tustin Middle School, is the school’s principal. The 90,500-square-foot facility will serve about 1,000 students in grades six through eight.
