Veronex Technologies Inc., an Irvine software company, reported first-quarter net income of $3.7 million, or 47 cents a share, compared with net income of $1.2 million, or 18 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter ended May 31 rose to $5 million from $2.1 million.
