VENTURA COUNTY ROUNDUP : Oxnard : Salvation Army to Open Dental Clinic

Share

The Salvation Army’s new Oxnard dental clinic will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday.

The dental clinic will be at the same site as the Salvation Army’s medical clinic at 622 W. Wooley Road. Staffed entirely with volunteers, the clinic will be open Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

A nominal fee, which varies depending on the service, will be charged for a visit to help offset the cost of materials. Patients without financial resources, however, are still encouraged to use the clinic, Salvation Army representatives said.

Because space is limited, patients are encouraged to come to the clinic as early as 8 a.m. to sign up for visits.

Assemblyman Tom McClintock (R-Northridge) will be among those attending Monday’s ceremonies, which will begin with coffee at 7 a.m., breakfast at 8 a.m., and ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Tours of the medical and dental clinics will be available throughout the morning.
