Miriam Elaine Peacock, a homemaker and former title insurance company employee, died Sunday at a Ventura convalescent hospital after a long illness. She was 75.

She was born April 15, 1924, in Philadelphia. Her parents, Lester and Elsie Reamer, moved to New Jersey, where she grew up. After graduation from Haddon Heights High School, she went to work for a title insurance company in Camden.

At the end of World War II, she traveled to Sacramento to marry her high school sweetheart, Walter Peacock. They later moved to Los Angeles and, in 1963, moved to Oxnard.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Boccali of Ojai; a son, Roger of Arbuckle; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jim Wells officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
