Thanks for Financial Advice With Values

Share

* I want to thank Liz Pulliam Weston for the repeated stands she makes in her columns for human values. On numerous occasions I have been pleased to read her replies to people that remind them that there is more to life than money.

Her response to the 79-year-old consultant [“Social Security Is a Safety Net for Poor, Not a Retirement Plan as Many Think,” Money Talk, March 26] wisely points out our obligation to care for widows, orphans and other people who are less fortunate.

I recall a column from several months ago in which she reminded a woman how truly rich she was in comparison to the vast majority of people in the world. I think her point of view is particularly valuable in the financial section of the paper. I look forward to reading more of her wise and uplifting words.
