Need2Buy.com Names Vice President of Operations

Need2Buy.com in Westlake Village, a business-to-business online marketplace for the electronic components industry, has hired Thomas M. Knauer as vice president of international operations.

Knauer was previously the manager of emerging markets for General Electric’s joint venture with Fanuc Automation, where he was responsible for creating and implementing the regional marketing and sales strategy for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South Africa. Prior to this, Knauer held a variety of senior-level management, operations and sales positions with General Electric/Fanuc Automation in both Europe and North America.

At Need2Buy, he will develop a plan for the continued growth of Need2Buy-Asia and Need2Buy-Europe, plus evaluate expansion opportunities into additional geographic regions.
