Matthews Files for Voluntary Chapter 11

The Matthews Studio Equipment Group in Burbank said it has filed for voluntary Chapter 11 reorganization under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Matthews and its subsidiaries were included in the filings, made at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, San Fernando Valley division of the Central District of California. Matthews has hired Crossroads LLC as an advisor on the new business plan.

Matthews supplies production equipment to the entertainment industry.
