A member of the local Sheriff’s Team of Active Retired Seniors will be honored for his volunteer service by the Orange County Board of Supervisors this month.

Joseph Barney has dedicated more than 585 hours to the team, which helps the Sheriff’s Department by checking on vacationers’ homes, patrolling parks and reporting graffiti.
