Travel bargains in the peak summer season can be hard to come by. One of the better deals is “Summer in Paris,” with round-trip air fare between LAX or Oakland and the French capital, six nights’ lodging (including city hotel taxes) and daily breakfast. It starts at $809 per person, double occupancy, for the Square D’Anvers hotel in the 9th arrondissement; lodging upgrades are available at extra cost. Airport taxes, about $57 per person, are not included. The package is good for travel June 25 through Sept. 9, subject to availability.
