Morse Elementary School is encouraging students and their parents to participate in national TV Turnoff Week from Monday to April 30.

The event is sponsored by TV-Free America, a national nonprofit organization that encourages Americans to reduce the amount of television they watch in order to promote healthier, richer and more connected lives.

Morse staff members will encourage parents to make a family pledge to keep the TV off, read, play games or participate in household activities such as cooking.
