THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:

BREA

* Brea Mall: Two girls, 13 and 16, were apprehended on suspicion of shoplifting at 6:47 p.m. Monday.

* Civic Center Circle: Theft of identification was reported at 11:35 a.m. Monday.

COSTA MESA

* Flower Street: A two-car accident with injuries was reported near Sunflower Avenue on Monday morning.

* Ogle Street: Officers responded to a petty theft report in the 200 block Monday morning.

DANA POINT

* Dana Maple: A dog owner reportedly assaulted a man during an argument over the animal in the 24000 block at 3:20 p.m. Saturday.

* Del Prado Avenue: A camera was reported stolen from a business in the 24000 block at 2:10 a.m. Saturday.

* Pacific Coast Highway: A 49-year-old man was cited on suspicion of begging in front of a business in the 34000 block at 10:50 a.m. Saturday.

* Street of the Golden Lantern: A 24-year-old man was arrested on a warrant after being stopped for a traffic violation near Ocean Spray at 1:50 p.m. Saturday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Brookhurst Street: Someone wrote graffiti on a dumpster in the 18800 block at 3:26 p.m. Friday.

* Oak Street: Someone stole a muffler from a car in the 17900 block at 6:37 p.m. Friday.

FULLERTON

* Acacia and Chapman avenues: A suspicious person in a vehicle was reported at 8:24 p.m. Monday.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Brookhurst Street at Hamilton Avenue: A man was staggering, removing his shirt and shoes and had electrodes on his chest at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

* Main Street: Someone was reported caught stealing shorts from a shop in the 200 block at 12:11 p.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* South Coast Highway: A cellular phone worth $200 was reported stolen from a car in the 1600 block at 8:33 a.m. Sunday.

LA HABRA

* West Imperial Highway: An intoxicated subject was reported in the 500 block at 2:18 p.m. Saturday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* East 16th Street: A car parked in the 1600 block was vandalized Sunday evening. The passenger-side window was smashed with a rock, and the glove compartment and stereo were scratched. Nothing was taken.

* Port Weybridge: A rear window of a Ford Bronco parked in the 2000 block was smashed by a golf ball Sunday morning. Nothing was taken.

ORANGE

* The City Drive South: Vandalism was reported in the 500 block at 7:58 p.m. Sunday.

PLACENTIA

* East Imperial Highway: A homeless male was reported loitering outside a business in the 1100 block at 5:19 p.m. Monday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida Granada: A man was cited on suspicion of hit-and-run driving and his car was impounded after a noninjury traffic accident in the 400 block at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

* Avenida Salvador: Two teens were reportedly firing BB guns in the 700 block at 6:35 p.m. Saturday. The teens were turned over to their parents.

* Calle Miramar: A burn mark was reportedly made on the roof of a car in the 100 block at 10:50 a.m. Saturday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Alipaz Street: A woman reported juveniles were throwing water balloons at her dogs in the 32000 block at 5:50 p.m. Saturday. Deputies did not find the juveniles.

VILLA PARK

* Newport Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 12000 block at 5:17 p.m. Monday.

YORBA LINDA

* Fairmont Boulevard: Petty theft from an automobile was reported in the 6500 block at 9:35 p.m. Monday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Tuesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Garden Grove, Irvine, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Tustin and Westminster.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
