LOS ALAMITOS

Hopkinson Elementary School fourth-grader Jonathan Stebel was recently honored for his successes in the Orange County Scholastic Foundation’s 2000 academic contest. Jonathan was one of the top overall scorers from the Los Alamitos School District, taking first place in math and spelling.

His sister, Danielle, a seventh-grader from Oak Middle School, captured first place overall in the poetry competition. Information: (562) 596-2126.
