Cockpit Cameras

* When Duane Woerth, president of the Air Line Pilots Assn., asserts that “Cockpit video is an egregious invasion of privacy” (“NTSB Urges Using Video Cameras in Cockpits,” April 12), I can’t help but wonder what “private things” are taking place while the pilots hold the fates of passengers in their hands. Cameras are commonly used in the workplace to control theft and increase security. The response by the pilot’s association is reprehensible, considering the potential for increased public safety that cockpit cameras would offer.
