Entry Deadlines for Fair Announced
Officials of the San Fernando Valley Fair have announced deadlines for anyone interested in submitting exhibit entries to the June event.
There will be competition for awards in several categories, ranging from arts and crafts to agriculture. The Valley Fair will be held June 8-11 at Hansen Dam Equestrian Center in Lake View Terrace.
Entry forms for each division must be received by the following dates:
* April 30 for the academic rodeo, a competitive event for middle-school students to test their knowledge. The winning team will receive $500 and will compete in the state championship in August.
* May 15 for the farming, gardening and flowers department and the livestock department.
* May 22 for the industrial and technology education department, home arts and crafts, fine arts and photography, 4-H department, and agriculture and science education.
A guide outlining the rules and regulations is available at the Valley Fair office in Burbank and at the Hansen Dam Equestrian Center.
