The community-based organization Youth 20/20’s Family Life and Parenting Committee will sponsor a series of weekly programs designed to help people become better parents.

The free programs begin May 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Community Center, 7821 Walker St.

Fred Becker, director for Resources for Effective Living, a Youth 20/20 project, will present the four programs which will include discussions on violence prevention, social and emotional skills development and better communication with children.
