SAN CLEMENTE
South County residents are asked to conserve water Tuesday through May 16, when the Allen-McColloch Pipeline, which serves the area, will be closed for repairs.
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and Municipal Water District of Orange County are asking residents to not water their landscapes more than twice a week, take shorter showers and not to wash their cars at home.
San Clemente receives water from the Tri-Cities Joint Transmission Main Line and from a connection to the South County Pipeline, which is fed by the Allen-McColloch line.
