County Supervisors
Recent reports about the Ventura County Board of Supervisors are quite disturbing. It looks as if they have forgotten that they are the servants of the voters and not lords of the Ventura County fiefdom.
They have received financial windfalls from the tobacco lawsuit settlement and the Proposition 10 cigarette tax, and they are upset because the voters of our county might decide that some of the settlement money should be shared with private medical providers.
We need true supervisors who are interested in serving Ventura County in a businesslike fashion. It is time for the voters to speak.
