Blackman to Head Chase Office in Newport Beach

Mike Blackman has joined Chase Manhattan Corp. as managing director in charge of Chase H&Q;’s Newport Beach office. He joined the company from Banc of America Securities’ Montgomery Private Client Services division, where he was the managing director responsible for Montgomery’s New York high-net-worth sales office.

* Sean P. McCoy has been named tax director of Sukut Construction Inc. in Santa Ana and Kimberly A. Hurst was appointed controller. McCoy was previously a senior tax manager with Arthur Andersen. Hurst was formerly controller at Vortex Industries Inc. in Costa Mesa and a senior accountant with the Costa Mesa office of Laventhol & Horwath.

* Susan Quartucy has been named executive administrator, business development, of Trading Places International in Laguna Niguel. She had been senior project director. Before joining the company, Quartucy was project director with Tricom Management Inc. In addition, Douglas Wilcox was appointed project director. He was previously director of resort operations for RCI Management Inc.

* Andrew Barrowman has been appointed vice president for engineering at Emulex Corp. in Costa Mesa. Before joining the company, Barrowman was director of systems development at Itron and previously held an executive management position at Legent Corp.

* Gary Koelsch has joined Zyfer Inc., a subsidiary of Odetics Inc. in Anaheim as vice president of sales. Before joining Zyfer, Koelsch was vice president of sales and marketing for DICA Technologies.

* Lee Han has been appointed private branding manager for ITT Industries, Cannon, in Santa Ana. He was formerly staff project engineer for Bourns Inc. and senior project engineer at TRW Transportation Electronics.
