Doctor With Sex Conviction Closes Office
A Laguna Niguel physician convicted last year of sexual battery closed his office early Friday afternoon, apparently to comply with the state Medical Board’s recent decision to revoke his license.
Dr. Del B. Dalton specialized in treating patients with chronic pain and did cosmetic treatments at his office on Niguel Road. He was convicted in July 1999 on three counts of sexual battery against three female patients, and two counts of false advertising for his claim that he was “board certified,” though no medical specialty board had certified him.
Despite his conviction in Orange County Superior Court, Dalton was allowed to continue his practice until the medical board could review the case, provided a female nurse was with him during all examinations and surgeries.
