The city is looking for community groups interested in “adopting” a park for a 17-week period to keep it free from litter. In exchange, each group will receive $325 from the city.
The next Adopt-a-Park session will run through Jan. 6, and groups interested in applying may obtain applications in the Community Services Department in the basement of City Hall, 303 W. Commonwealth Ave.
The groups selected will be expected to visit their assigned parks at least once a week for a minimum of 14 weeks during the session.
