Share

Revolution Studios, a new film production company founded by former Walt Disney Studios chairman Joe Roth, signed a seven-year, $24-million lease for 61,000 square feet of space in a building now under construction at Hines Interests’ Lantana Center office project in Santa Monica. The company expects to move into the new building in April, according to brokers from Julien J. Studley Inc. who represented Revolution in lease negotiations. The Studley team included Mark Robinson, Arlene Sommer and Robert Cavaiola. Hines Interests was represented in-house by Patricia Gilbert and Todd Later, along with attorney Dean Pappas of O’Melveny & Myers. The new building will be at 2900 W. Olympic Blvd., near the already completed and occupied first phase of the Lantana West project, which includes five buildings at the southeast corner of Stewart Street and Olympic Boulevard. The new location will also house MediaTrip.com, Revolution Studios’ Internet partner that will create, market and develop online content for Revolution’s production and distribution.
