NEWPORT BEACH
The City Council will consider annexing 240 acres in the Santa Ana Heights area at tonight’s meeting.
Last October, the council initiated an application to annex the Bay Knolls, Newport Coast and east Santa Ana Heights areas. The annexation covers the eastern two-thirds of the Santa Ana Heights area.
The remaining area is within Costa Mesa’s sphere of influence.
The council meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd.
