The city has received a $5,000 grant from the state Department of Conservation’s Recycling Division, according to Assistant City Manager Tami Piscotty.
The money will be used to purchase five park benches made from recycled plastic. The benches will be installed at Central Park, 7821 Walker St., near the pavilion and tiny-tots area. A message promoting recycling will be placed on each bench.
