VILLA PARK
The City Council will consider approving an ordinance tonight that would force homeowners to obtain a conditional use permit for garages that fit four or more cars or have garage doors 8 feet or taller.
Garages that exceed those standards would require direct approval from the council, and neighbors would be notified about the proposed size. Council members tentatively approved the ordinance last month but must vote for its final adoption.
