Anaheim Firm Buys Palm Springs Baker

Anaheim snack and crouton maker Just Off Melrose Inc. said it has acquired a Palm Springs bread baker, gaining new outlets nationwide for its gourmet treats.

Terms of the deal for the Palm Springs Baking Co. were not disclosed.

Just Off Melrose distributes its products mainly through supermarkets, like Albertsons, Ralphs and Vons, and specialty stores, like Bristol Farms, Gelson’s and Wild Oats Market.

Palm Springs Baking serves its natural sourdough bread and up to 110 other kinds of breads to hotels, restaurants, warehouse club stores, golf resorts and grocery stores in the Southwest and specialty stores in the Pacific Northwest and New England.
