Man, 19, Dies After Being Found Shot
A Santa Ana man shot Wednesday night died from his injuries Thursday, police said.
A report of a man lying in the street was made to Santa Ana police dispatchers about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. The man, Ricardo A. Quiroz, 19, was bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head in an isolated industrial area near the Costa Mesa Freeway and Dyer Road in Santa Ana.
Quiroz was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana in very critical condition, authorities said. He died Thursday afternoon.
The killing does not appear to be gang-related or a random act, police said. The homicide unit of the Santa Ana Police Department is investigating.
