Darcazallie New CFO, VP of Net-Strike

Iyad Darcazallie has been named chief financial officer and vice president of corporate development for Net-Strike Worldwide in Irvine. He had been with Ernst & Young’s New Ventures and Global Corporate Development groups in San Francisco.

* Donald Henig has been named senior vice president of business development and corporate initiatives for LoanTrader.com in Irvine. Henig has held senior positions with Ultraprise.com and MtgPro Inc.

* Steve Johnson has joined the board of directors of Go2Systems Inc. in Irvine. Johnson is a co-founder and chief executive at Sage Hill Partners, a Boston-based venture capital firm. He is also a limited partner at Greylock Venture Capital.

* Karen Jennings has been named vice president and banking officer of Citizens Business Bank’s Plaza office in Orange County. Previously, she was small business banker for Bank of America in Irvine. In addition, Douglas B. Tipping has been appointed vice president and banking officer of the Saddleback office. He was formerly vice president for Community Financial Services Inc., managing the underwriting and sales departments.

* Jack M. Hiett has been appointed vice president of customer service for Printrak International Inc. in Anaheim. Before joining the company, Hiett was senior vice president of support and service for MTI Technology, and held similar positions with Sun Microsystems, Wang Laboratories and Data General.

* Thomas G. Frinzi has been named senior vice president, sales and marketing for Refractec Inc. in Irvine. He has 20 years of sales and marketing experience at Bausch & Lomb, Endocare, Chiron Vision Corp. and Iolab, a division of Johnson & Johnson.

* Fred Hoar has joined Angel Strategies LLC in Newport Beach as chairman of the advisory board. He has been vice president of corporate communications for Apple Computer, Fairchild, Genentech Inc. and RCA.

* Margie Fox has been appointed vice president and manager of the Tustin banking office of Eldorado Bank. She had been manager of the San Bernardino office.

* Elizabeth A. Galliher has been named chief information officer and executive vice president of Krause’s Furniture Inc. in Brea. Galliher, who joined Krause’s in 1997, had been vice president of information systems.

* Virgil Thompson has joined Chimeric Therapies Inc. in Laguna Niguel as chief executive. He succeeds company founder Olav Bergheim, who will remain on the board of directors and continue as an advisor. Thompson previously led three biopharmaceutical companies, Biotechnology General Corp., Cytel Corp. and Cibus Pharmaceuticals. He was also president of Syntex Laboratories Inc. in Palo Alto.

* Kevin J. Liebl has been appointed president and chief executive of NexTier Corp. in Irvine. Liebl was formerly vice president of marketing for MTI Technology Corp. in Anaheim. Before that, he was director of marketing for MAI Systems Inc. in Irvine and manager of information systems for Landmark Mortgage Corp. in Santa Ana.

* Gregory L. Cauthen has been named president and chief executive of WebCaskets.com Inc. in Newport Beach and elected a member of the board of directors. Alex A. Frost, co-founder of the company and previous chief executive, will continue as chairman of the board and will assume the position of senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Cauthen was formerly senior vice president and president of the financial services division of Service Corporation International.

* Bill Orton has been selected as chef de cuisine for the new Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort. He had been specialty chef for the Disneyland Pacific Hotel.

* Joel Nasers and Pete Shin have been appointed preconstruction directors in the estimating department at McCarthy in Newport Beach. Nasers, who joined McCarthy six years ago, had been senior estimator. Shin has 10 years of construction industry experience, serving as senior estimator and estimator at Southern California contracting firms.

* Todd Cooley has been appointed managing director of the Irvine office of Creative works, and head of the public relations practice, following the acquisition of Cooley & Co. by Creative works.

* Stephen A. Ballas has been named president of Ministry Partners Investment Corp. in Anaheim, a subsidiary of Evangelical Christian Credit Union. He was previously a consultant to manufacturing companies, software start-ups and medical equipment companies, president of the Loan Connection and vice president of Meracor Mortgage.

* Kris W. Krauel has been named vice president and portfolio manager for the Costa Mesa office of U.S. Trust Co. He had been a vice president and senior portfolio manager with Highmark Capital Management in Los Angeles. Before that, Krauel was an investment officer and portfolio manager for Northern Trust Bank in Los Angeles.

* Jessica Cortez has joined Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services as marketing director of the Irvine Spectrum office.

* Tom McCall has been appointed executive vice president of the new Irvine office of Lockton Insurance Brokers Inc. Before joining the company, he was an executive vice president at AON, a commercial insurance brokerage.

* Gabrielle Galardo has been named account executive at the advertising agency of Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder in Newport Beach. She joined the agency in 1999 as an account coordinator.

* Kimberly Benson has been appointed associate field marketing manager for the Western division of Labatt USA in Foothill Ranch. She had been a team specialty retail representative with Hallmark Cards Inc.
