Council Approves Office Building

Share

Overwhelming public opposition and concern over excessive traffic and noise led the City Council to reject a plan for a gas station and mini-mart at 5951 Kellogg Drive more than two years ago. But a new plan for a two-story office building at that same location drew little opposition last month.

The council recently upheld and approved that project with only a few people opposed to it.

Council members voted to let Shirmard Farahmand build a 3,800-square-foot office building on the property, after the developer scaled back the size of the upper floor.

The project’s Craftsman-style design will complement the residential character of the surrounding neighborhood, city officials said prior to the project’s approval Nov. 21.
