He’s Only a Good Striker of the Ball

Share

I read that Tiger Woods is concerned about the use of his image on the Internet. Well, you know what Tiger should realize? The Internet was (and still is) one of the major reasons why 134,000 Screen Actors Guild members went on strike for six long months.

Tiger could have gotten a big head start on the Internet issue and at the same time been a true hero to the working class. But instead, he chose his own self-interest and decided he couldn’t afford to let one of his zillion endorsements wait to make a lousy commercial. Then SAG fined Tiger $100,000 for doing so. But the strike cost the actors $300 million, and believe me, thousands of actors (myself included) are still hurting terribly from a financial standpoint.

So, if the PGA Tour goes on strike over the Internet situation, Tiger shouldn’t hope for backing by SAG. I’d like to say something cute like, “We’ll be out playing golf,” but realistically, we can’t afford the green fees.
