Three Join SRS Labs Board in Santa Ana
Gareth Chang, Roger W. Johnson and Sam Yau have joined the board of directors of SRS Labs Inc. in Santa Ana. With the recent resignation of Thomas Wan, the board increased from seven to nine members.
Chang is executive chairman of the board of Click2Asia and chairman and chief executive of PingPong Technology. Chang is also a member of the board of directors of Apple Computer Inc., and is on the advisory council of Nike Inc.
Johnson served in the first term of President Clinton’s administration as administrator of the U.S. General Services Agency. He was also a member of the president’s National Economic Council and his Management Council. Before that, Johnson was chairman and chief executive of Western Digital Corp. in Irvine.
Yau was formerly chief executive at National Education Corp. and chief operating officer at Advacare Inc.
* Stephen Marlow has been named to the newly created position of executive vice president at Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. in Irvine. Marlow, who joined the company 20 years ago, most recently held dual roles. He was senior vice president of demand generation, responsible for sales activities, and vice president of the memory business unit for the semiconductor group.
* Jean Strickland has been named senior vice president of sales at Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services in Irvine. She joined the company in 1993 as vice president of client services in the Schaumburg, Ill., regional office. Strickland also served as a controller for Coldwell Banker Relocation and Genesis Relocation.
* Carol Schillne has been appointed first vice president of CB Richard Ellis. She is a retail properties specialist in the Anaheim office.
* Teri Mullin has joined the Meyers Group in Irvine as new business development manager. Mullin most recently served as director of marketing for WWW.com, a business-to-business entertainment content provider. She also founded the Mullin Group in 1998.
* Sherry Pollack has joined Y&R; Advertising in Irvine as senior vice president, group creative director. She previously worked at McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather Inc.
* Steve Cameron has been named president of the Building Industry of Southern California, Orange County chapter, for 2001. He is with Fieldstone Communities Inc.
* Mark S. St. Clare has been appointed chief financial officer of Access360 in Irvine. He was formerly chief financial officer for Nexgenix; vice president, finance, and chief financial officer for Alpha Micro Corp.; vice president and controller for Basic Four Corp. St. Clare also spent 15 years with FileNet Corp., serving as senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer.
* D. Scott Clifton has been named senior vice president and director of sales and business development at Virtual CEO Inc. in San Juan Capistrano. Prior to joining the company, Clifton was a sales director for Warner-Lambert.
* Laurence Hauck has been named controller of California Software Corp. in Irvine. He had been with Rockwell International for more than 30 years, most recently as manager of special projects for corporate accounting.
* Mark Gilbert has joined Ware & Malcomb Architects in Irvine as senior designer for the design department. He was formerly senior designer for William Hezmahulch Architects.
* Jean-Francois Lehuede has been named pastry chef at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Laguna Niguel. He was previously a pastry chef for Mandarin Oriental Hotels in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
