A 79-year-old woman killed Sunday night in a Simi Valley traffic collision was identified by coroner officials Monday as Margaret Lisi of Thousand Oaks.

Meanwhile, coroner officials were still trying to identify the body of a man who was struck and killed at 5:30 p.m. Sunday as he attempted to run across California 126 near Santa Paula.

Lisi, the passenger in a car driven by her husband, Albert, 86, died at Simi Valley Hospital shortly after the 8 p.m. crash, authorities said.

Albert Lisi remained in stable condition Monday afternoon at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Kris Carraway-Bowman said.

Officer Jim Hardy of the California Highway Patrol said Albert Lisi was driving in the far left lane of the westbound 118 Freeway when he flashed his left turn signal and headed into the dirt center divider.

The car traveled erratically for about 150 feet before it careened across the freeway and slammed into a concrete bridge support at Sycamore Street. The couple were wearing seat belts, Hardy said.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, but alcohol was not a factor, Hardy said.

In the Santa Paula incident, the pedestrian was dragged for 60 feet on California 126 by a Mercury Cougar. When the driver slammed on the brakes, attempting to avoid the man, a second car rear-ended the Cougar and forced it into a ditch, officials said.

The drivers of both cars were treated and released from a local hospital, officials said.
