Datron Systems Inc., which has facilities in Simi Valley and Vista, said it has received a $7-million order for tactical radio communication products from a customer in Asia.

Shipment of the order for VHF radio equipment, spares and services is expected to be completed in the spring. Datron did not identify who placed the order, except to say it is a “long-standing Pacific Rim customer.”

“With this order now in backlog, we expect continuing quarter-to-quarter increases in radio sales for the remainder of the current fiscal year,” said David A. Derby, Datron chairman, president and chief executive.
